Power Point Vs. Prezi

PowerPoint Vs. Prezi

Nowadays, people try to search the best technique on how to be an effective presentor.  So, you need to know the very
exciting presentation and for sure your presentation will be the best. Try to decide between the traditional Microsoft PowerPoint, and Prezi, the newer, non-linear software tool.
Which software will you use for your presentation?
Which presentation application will works better to motivate learners ?
Advantages of Powerpoint
  • User Friendly - Easy to use and simple
  • Transition and Animation- you can use visual effects that can amaze your learners/audiences.
    • Hyperlinks-   allows you to click on a link and be taken directly to the links location on the web or somewhere else in the presentation
    • Controls- You can choose any color, graphics and background.
Disadvantages of Powerpoint

  • Large File Size - This will some time cause us bored when we emailing the file. PowerPoint can create really large files, especially when images, audio, and video are added.

Advantage of Prezi

  • Zoom - Prezi's effect allows you to click the background with the mouse and the presentation zooms out to an overview, you can zoom into the area you want.  In short,if you want to “zoom in” for emphasis you can. If you want more detail you can zoom in again and then once you’re in a specific area you can “pan” to expand on that idea or gain more detail.

Disadvantages of Prezi

  • Design option is limited.
  • Dizziness – often times Prezi users can over use the zoom function which can ultimately take away from the message of the presentation. Too much zooming and too much panning can ultimately make users feel sick.

So, Which software tool will you use for your presentation?
Whatever software tool you select, you need to  master and use it to create amazing,               rather than dull, presentations.
